Overview
The Learner Operations Manager is responsible for making sure every learner has a smooth, well-supported, and high-quality experience across Decoded programmes.
This is a learner-facing, non-client-facing role at the heart of delivery. You’ll ensure learners have everything they need: access, information, resources, and support, so they can focus on learning and succeeding on our programmes.
The role spans Decoded’s commercial skillset and mindset programmes, with a particular focus on commercial skillset delivery, across a wide range of formats from half-day sessions, to multi-day bootcamps, through to longer-term academies.
You’ll own the learner journey end to end: from first introduction to Decoded, through programme delivery, to feedback and continuous improvement.
This role also offers the opportunity to shape and build out the learner operations function over time, putting in place scalable processes, standards, and ways of working as we grow.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Own the learner experience
Take ownership of the end-to-end learner experience across programmes, ensuring it is clear, consistent, and well-executed, working closely with Product Owners.
Act as a primary point of contact for learners on operational and logistical queries.
Ensure learners are fully set up ahead of delivery, with timely access to platforms, materials, schedules, and communications.
Oversee and issue Credly badges where appropriate.
Design learner engagement for new and bespoke programmes
Build learner engagement journeys for new or bespoke programmes, from onboarding through to programme completion and feedback.
Define what good learner engagement looks like at each stage of a programme, and ensure it is delivered consistently.
Work closely with delivery and programme teams to embed learner needs into programme design from the outset.
Execute programmes flawlessly
Ensure existing programmes are delivered smoothly, with strong attention to detail and minimal friction for learners, in partnership with the Client Management Team.
Track learner attendance, engagement, and feedback throughout delivery, flagging risks early and taking action where needed.
Coordinate all learner-facing logistics to ensure programmes run as planned, regardless of length or format.
Troubleshoot platform access issues and implement improvements to prevent future issues reoccurring.
Improve and scale
Gather learner feedback at key moments and use insights to improve future delivery processes.
Identify recurring challenges and opportunities to improve the learner experience.
Build repeatable processes, templates, and playbooks to support consistent, high-quality learner operations.
Contribute to shaping and growing the learner operations function as Decoded continues to scale its delivery.
About you
You’re organised, detail-driven, and genuinely care about learner experience.
You’re comfortable juggling multiple programmes at once and enjoy creating structure where it’s needed most.
You think ahead, take initiative, spot issues early, and take pride in making complex programmes feel simple and seamless for learners.
You’ll likely bring:
Experience in learner operations, programme coordination, education delivery, or a similar role
Confidence working directly with learners in a professional, supportive way
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Experience tracking attendance, engagement, or feedback data
Clear, confident written communication skills
The ability to work across short-form and longer-term learning programmes
Learner Operations is foundational to great delivery. This role ensures learners feel supported, informed, and set up for success, while creating the systems and standards that allow Decoded to scale high-quality learning experiences across all programme formats.
Day-To-Day
Our working hours are 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday (UK time). You plan your working day around the best outcomes for success, identifying and prioritising projects against business needs.
As we work with clients across different time zones, there may occasionally be times when you need to be flexible, for example, delivering a session for a US-based client might mean finishing later in the evening. When this happens, you're encouraged to adjust your hours, such as starting later that day or the next, to support a healthy work-life balance. We will endeavour to provide as much notice as is reasonably possible and discuss this with you in advance of any prolonged requirements. In these cases, you will be entitled to flexibility around working time to ensure adequate rest breaks
Apart from the above, working at Decoded means you’ll get:
33 days leave per year (inclusive of bank holidays) and an extra tenured holiday enabling team members to gain an additional day for every year you are with us (after the first 2 years) up to a maximum of 8. We also close the office for 2 full weeks at Christmas at Decoded's discretion which does not come out of your holiday allowance.
Modern, flexible and fully serviced offices at Fora
Company pension contributions
Private health care including dental, GP and hospital cover and a gym discount to help you prioritise your wellbeing
Travel insurance
Social events, including in-person company get-togethers, department away days and Christmas lunch
Continuous learning and development. You will be challenged with lots of responsibility and exciting projects in an environment that encourages learning, creativity, personal growth, and collaboration
Free monthly lunches
Casual dress every day
Salary: £42,000-£47,000 per annum
